Highly recommend. My orchids are loving the addition of this to a decent medium. I repotted about a month ago & have very hearty, robust new growth happening. It’s a great boost to the medium, and does not disintegrate quickly like bark.

This product is perfect. I use it in a special blend for potting soil.

I mix my own soil for all of my plants, and activated charcoal has become a staple in all of my recipes. Most of the horticultural charcoal I’ve found by other suppliers are large pieces 1”-2” in size, which is good for some plants, particularly Phalaenopsis orchids. It’s not always ideal, though. This product blends with and aerates the soil beautifully. So far my plants are happy. I’ll definitely order more, and would recommend.

This charcoal was exactly what I needed for use in my terrarium!

Used for my orchid

So far it's doing what it's supposed to be doing. Basically needed it for my planted scorpion terrarium.

I mix this with potting soil for my houseplants. It's a fine charcoal, so it works better to mix it in rather than layering it in the bottom. It works especially well for houseplants that don't have drainage...keeping the soil sweet and fresh. I also use it in my terrariums for the same reason.

I think this charcoal is very nice and is in very nice chunks. my plants seem to enjoy mixes with this in them. there is also a good amount for the price.

I added this to my chunky soil mix for my monstera. Charcoal increases the soil's ability to hold onto plant nutrients and beneficial soil microbes by slowing or reducing the leaching of nutrients by rain or watering. The low density of charcoal lightens heavy soils, which allows better root growth, increasing drainage and allowing air into the soil.

I fully regret not taking a before and after picture. After one week, I saw significant growth in all my house plants. I am a new plant connoisseur and have no clue what I am doing. Before adding this to my soil, my plants were looking a little sad and were attracting bugs. The bugs are officially gone, and plants are looking super perky.

This is pure charcoal and it’s organically derived from olive trees so I appreciate that it’s eco-friendly. It helps filter my soil and balance my pH for my plants. I absolutely love this and a little bit goes a long way. Good value!

I was able to add this into already established plants a little at a time and it really seems to help with aeration and drainage!
