This picture is after 24 hours of being in the pod...still fresh and beautiful! I'm not 100% clear on whether it's OK to eat the avocado after it browns from exposure, but regardless, it's not visually appealing at all if it's all yucky and brownish/black. If you're not consuming the whole avocado - this is your solution! So reasonably priced, goes in the dishwasher and couldn't be easier to use. So happy!

I really wish I’d known about these years ago, these food storage containers just make so much sense. When you’re trying to store a portion of a piece of fruit or vegetable, it helps to have the cut side down and the rounded side up to keep it fresh. That creates a problem of fitting into containers. If you leave it open like in a bowl, something smelly like an onion will smell up your whole fridge. I love that these have silicone flexible membranes, so it pulls over the fruit and is flexible to accommodate odd sizes. I also love that they’re see-through because it makes it more likely for you to use what you already have in your fridge instead of forgetting it’s there and having it go to waste. The avocado one is a little bit of a challenge to open since it’s not a circular twisting motion, but function trumps any struggle. I might have to give these to my mother-in-law for Christmas.

These are "life" savers for my veggies and such. Keeps onions, avocados etc relatively fresh. They all work well with the exception of the avocado shaped one. It's kind of a fight to get it on and off...normally I win but after a bit of a struggle. One of mine broke (couple of years old) so I immediately ordered a replacement, that's how much I like them.

This is everything I hoped it would be. Flexible lid is super stretchy. I hope it lasts because I will be using it a lot.

I eat a lot of avocados and try to eliminate single use plastics. I didn't want to keep wrapping half of my avocados in cling wrap where they still browned but I used new plastic several times a week. Got this for storage. The other day I forgot half my avocado, again, for 3 days in the fridge (picture) and it looked great thanks to this storage. I posted a pic to my Instagram of how great my forgotten avocado looked thanks to this and now my family is all asking where they can get one! Best part, no more single use plastic. I don't often like specific use products but this has been worth it and is easy to store when not in use.

I saw these on a gadget review and bought them. I use them for avocados, onions, oranges, grapefruits. Once I use the second half, I pop them in the dishwasher (top shelf) and they are ready for the next time!

This is the avocado the next day. Works beautifully but I did immediately put it into the container as soon as it was cut which probably made the difference since it wasn’t exposed to the air for more than a minute.

Kept the avocado fresh overnight. I had been using a different avocado keeper and the top layer of avocado is brown the next day. This is a great way to transport 1/2 an avocado for lunch bc it’s partially protected by hard plastic. The only downside is that, in my opinion, it is hard to close. It looks like it snaps closed but it slides closed. But it’s hard to get it to lock into place but once it does, it’s secure. Update June 2024. I figured out how to close it. It’s not a snap on. You have to almost line up the top and bottom the. Slide the top upward to lock in place.

These are pretty ingenious. Each one is two parts which you twist apart. The bottom is the plastic tray and the top is the stretchy silicone. You put your food on the tray and then twist them back together and the film stretches over it and holds it tightly while sealing it.

I usually only use half an avocado at a time so I ordered this storage container. It slides open for easy use. I leave the pit intact to help keep fresh. It works perfectly to hold half a large avocado. A day later I opened it and my avocado was very fresh; there was slight edge browning but not as much as you would have just putting it into a plastic bag. It cleans very easily by hand or top shelf in the dishwasher. I also used it for half an onion and it kept the onion fresh and odor free. I definitely would recommend this container.

This should be must have for everyone who cooks, I love how I can store ANY left over vegetables or fruits or even an egg in it! Keeps the other half left ingredients more fresh definitely then left in the container or ziplock bag and the cover stretches up really good so it can store variety left overs. Easy to clean and open and close. STRONGLY RECOMMEND and my mom wants another set!

These two onions were purchased on the same day. One I used half of for a recipe immediately & put the other half in this onion keeper. The other, I left intact in the bag the store put it in for future use. Drawer I kept these in my fridge has one of those blue apple type absorbers to keep vegetables fresher longer. I went use the onions today (granted I had forgotten about them fit a couple of weeks) & the beautifuldeer one is in perfect shape while the untouched one is super moldy! I’m buying more for me & family!

I decided to buy this because every time I eat avocado, the other half goes bad. I figured buying this will save me lots of money in the future lol. This is my other half after 2 days. I’m so glad I bought this. Plus is super easy to open and close, which I’m glad because I was born with muscle weakness and I often struggle to open stuff.

The first photo was when I cut it in half, and the 2nd photo is after storing it for exactly 12 hours, as designed, in my fridge with the seed still in place. Little to no browning occurred. I liked that it stretched a tight fit over the avocado eliminating the air and that there was still room for the seed still in place (since that’s important to also prevent browning). It’s easy to clean—but I recommend hand washing. What I didn’t like is that it is actually kind of hard to get it to stay on. Like the green sides have these slots and locks that work but the back part doesn’t stay the best. It’s hard to explain! But it was able to stay...and it’s better than wasting a baggie or plastic wrap.

Interesting idea to have a transparent flexible top making them much more space efficient than typical plastic containers. The shapes match typical round fruits and vegetables and oblong for avocado. Three are round and one is slightly smaller than the others. I immediately put half an avocado in the avocado unit and a smaller portion of leftover onion in the smaller yellow unit. They take up a lot less room in the fridge than hard plastic or rectangular storage. I found them a bit hard to open at first and initially had to use a rubber jar grip to turn them. The design would be improved if they had grippier edges. Once I had done that they were a bit easier the second time but I'm concerned that some people may not be able to master that. They are so much better designed than other containers otherwise. They're great for our crowded fridge.

I had something similar but I bought these specifically for avocados. I liked them so much, I donated my others and kept these.

These vegetable storage containers are impressive in how far the membrane will stretch, and thus how large a piece of vegetable or fruit you can store. There are three circular and one avacado-shaped containers. The avacado-shaped one snaps together to secure, while the circular ones attach with a slight twist. The membrane is strong but quite deformable. In the photo I have a whole medium onion in the container. Half an onion, lemon, tomato will be no problem. I recommend these for smaller food storage and to save on plastic use in the kitchen by reusing these over and over.

I have these used up all the time. Should propabley get more. Perfect for giving long life to stuff cut the strechy rubber material expands sealing the food.

This is great. The top stretches well. The container is easy to use and definitely gives an extra long life to your already cut onion. The outer layer seems to stay fresher and not get as soggy as keeping it in other containers. I've seen other onion savers for about half the price but this one really does seem to keep it fresh and I like that it has the see-through top.

Ok,I have seen these so many times and figured nah I don’t need them.Big mistake!I’m literally obsessed with these!They are so convenient to use and keep the smell out especially if you put in an onion.It keeps it fresh for long time and even the avocado doesn’t turn brown as quick.Looks cute with the colors and shapes too so definitely a must have that you will not regret.

I have really enjoyed using these. It is a simple way to store unused tomatoes, onions, apples, avocados, etc. to keep them fresh longer. I like how the top stretches onto whatever is inside to keep air from getting to it and discoloring or wilting the food. These are very easy to clean and a nice bright color to allow them to stand out in the refrigerator and not be forgotten about. These also allow you to cut down on using ziplocks for the leftovers, which helps to keep extra plastic from going to landfills. I showed these to my daughter and she told me she needs some. These would make a perfect gift for anyone who cooks. You cannot go wrong grabbing a set!

After 24 hours, my avocado half still looks yummy! I've used both the avocado-shaped unit and the round unit for refrigerating 1/2 of an avocado. My pictures show the round unit with a small-ish avo and its small pit, after 24 hours of refrigeration. There's no difference in results for either shape--both shapes work well. The round unit is just a little easier to put together and take apart, as it works like a lid on a jar. (The avocado-shaped unit twists and slides, or slides and twists, so it takes just a little practice.) I haven't used them for other veggies or fruit yet, but avos are so difficult to keep fresh that I'm thinking this product will work very well for other food-types that need a membrane to seal, like apples, onions or tomatoes. The unit washes pretty easily; I hand-wash mine. I don't remember if they're dishwasher safe, but I use high-heat sani-wash so I'm not sure how the membrane would react to that after many washes. I would be careful to keep the membrane part away from knives. All-in-all, this is a super product that works well!

I hate having extra clutter in my kitchen and am always a bit apprehensive to get new gadgets... But these little storage containers will definitely get a lot of use! They come in a couple different sizes/shapes and fun colors. And they're perfect for storing the other half of the fruit or veggie you didn't use! I try to use reusable bags as often as I can instead of using disposable plastic, but they're often hard to clean and hard to seal closed. Avocado halves get messy and turn brown in bags. I used the avocado saver and it worked perfectly! As you can see, the avocado fits in it just right. I saved it for over 24 hours and when I went to use it, it was still perfectly green with no brown spots at all. These are also great for lemon halves and onion halves, which I'm always storing. Cleaning them in the sink is a lot easier than trying to clean out a bag. And it's very easy to open and close them. These are perfect for anyone who is trying to cut down on single use plastic in their home!

Very satisfied. I bought this mainly for the avocado keeper. This is 24 hours in the fridge and it barely browned. It also keeps my apple halves fresh. I do use the produce within 24 hours.

I've used hard plastic fruit and vegetable freshness-keepers for a while now. They take up a lot of space and don't always fit the item inside (I've had a few very large avocados that don't fit the avocado shape!). So when I saw this pack I wanted to try it out. The twist-on ring with membrane is a very cool concept. The membrane allows items of multiple sizes within reason to fit nicely inside it, and acts like a second skin. They're very easy to use and having multiple means that if I incidentally poke one with a knife in the sink while washing dishes, I still have more. The form factor makes them easy to store when not in use, but easier to store in the fridge tetris I play often. I'm curious how they'll hold up over time and if the membrane will break down at all, but I don't think so based on the first few uses and washes.

I've tried many vegetable savers over the years (Hutzler, oxo, Farberwear and others) and this is by far the best one. They seal very well and they are easy enough to open an close (I need this because of my Severe RA) They stretch well enough that I don't have to cut vegetables in half to fit, like other brands. The onion pod is big enough for grapefruits and I use the tomato pod for apples as well. (I just add 2 tbsp of water so it can last a few days) For avocado, when the cells of the fruit are exposed to oxygen, it's bound to get black. To make them last, I always use a little bit of lemon of the top of the avocado half. The ascorbic acid and low ph level will protect it.
